Our property is just a minute or two from the Deep Creek entrance to the Smoky Mountain National Park and just about five minutes from downtown if scenic Bryson City, NC. We are located on the southern side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is a sports and outdoor enthusiasts’ dream come true. Some of the best trout fishing on the eastern seaboard is located here. You’ll also find tubing available at the entrance to Deep Creek, and whitewater rafting can be had at several locations including the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) about 30 minutes away.

Downtown Bryson City has many restaurants that offer a variety of choices, from burgers and beer, to Italian, Mexican, microbreweries, and more!

The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad is one of only a few narrow-gauge steam railroads that have passenger service. In the winter months, the Polar Express is very popular with both kids and kids at heart.

Another attraction in Bryson City is the Road to Nowhere. This six-mile drive into the park ends with a 1000-foot tunnel through a mountain and then goes nowhere and make for a really fun afternoon excursion.

Nearly every motorcyclist and sports car enthusiast across the country knows about the Tail of the Dragon, which boasts an eye-popping 318 curves in 11 miles. This “drive it if you dare” road is about an hour away.

Beautiful Fontana Lake and the Nantahala Outdoor Center are in the vicinity and both worth an afternoon or full day if you have the time and inclination.

A moving outdoor drama of the Cherokee people, “Unto These Hills” is performed during the summer months. Cherokee, NC is about 20 minutes away, which is home to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort.

You can also cross over the mountains in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on Hwy 441 through Newfound Gap that has beautiful, picturesque views and then heads into Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, TN for a taste of the “big city”.
