What types of accommodations does Elk Hollow Resort offer?
We offer three types of glamping stays in Bryson City, NC: luxury safari tents, hard-wall yurts, and our Lookout Lodge cabin. That is 10 safari tents, 4 yurts, and the Lookout Lodge, 15 private units in all. Every stay includes a king-size bed, full kitchen, private bathroom, a spacious deck with a gas grill, a private hot tub, and a fire pit. View all properties.
What amenities are included at every unit?
Every accommodation includes a private hot tub, fire pit, fully equipped kitchen, king-size bed (the Lookout Lodge has four bedrooms), a spacious walk-in shower with bench, drip and Keurig coffee makers, a gas grill, climate control (heating and air conditioning), free WiFi, and free on-site parking. We also have well-lit trails on the property, perfect for evening walks.
Are the safari tents and yurts comfortable year-round?
Yes. All safari tents and yurts are fully insulated with climate control, both heating and air conditioning. Our hard-wall yurts have metal roofs and solid construction, and our safari tents are built on raised decks with durable framing. Guests stay comfortable in every season, from summer heat to winter cold in the Smoky Mountains.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:30 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available depending on availability, so just reach out and ask. All units use electronic keypad locks, so you have 24/7 access to your accommodation without coordinating a key pickup.
Is Elk Hollow Resort pet-friendly?
No, pets are not allowed at Elk Hollow Resort. This policy helps us maintain a clean, allergen-free environment across all of our glamping accommodations.
What is the smoking policy?
Smoking is not permitted inside any accommodation. Guests are welcome to smoke outdoors on decks and in common areas.
Is there parking available?
Yes, free on-site parking is available for all guests. If you are bringing a larger vehicle, RV, or trailer, just let us know in advance and we will arrange a suitable parking space.
Where can I buy firewood?
Firewood is not provided on-site, but you can purchase it 24/7 at the Smoky Mountain Camp Store, located at 1840 W Deep Creek Road, just a few minutes from the resort.

How do I make a reservation at Elk Hollow Resort?
You can book directly on our website at elkhollowresort.com/availability. Select your preferred property and dates to see live pricing and availability. Direct bookings get the best rates, with no third-party fees.
How can I check prices for a specific property or date?
Visit our Availability page to view live pricing for any property and date range. A few ways to save:
- Weekday rates are significantly lower than weekends. If your schedule is flexible, check Sunday through Thursday for the best prices.
- Military discount for active and retired military personnel.
- Extended-stay discount on bookings of 6 or more nights.

What is the cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy varies by booking terms and season. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival may incur a fee. Please review the cancellation terms during booking or contact us for specific details.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. The security hold is $1,000 for the Lookout Lodge and $500 for all other accommodations. This is a hold, not a charge, and it is released after checkout pending a standard property inspection.

Is Elk Hollow Resort family-friendly?
Elk Hollow is primarily a couples-focused glamping resort. That said, our Lookout Lodge cabin is family-friendly and ideal for families and larger groups, with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a game room, and spacious outdoor areas. Deep Creek tubing, waterfalls, and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad are all nearby for family fun.
Can Elk Hollow accommodate groups or multi-family trips?
Yes. With 15 private units on the property, Elk Hollow can accommodate group getaways, multi-family reunions, and small retreats. Each unit is separate and private, but groups can gather at fire pits and along the property walking trails. For large group inquiries, contact us directly.

How far is Elk Hollow Resort from Deep Creek?
