★ Two private king suites with safari-chic style, for two couples or a double date.
Serengeti is a canvas safari tent at Elk Hollow, built for two couples or a double date who want two real bedrooms and two full baths instead of sharing a space. The decor leans playful and glam, with zebra and giraffe touches woven through warm, layered textures, the wild without giving up a single comfort.
This is glamping, not camping. The walls are canvas, but the comforts aren’t: two spa-style baths, a full kitchen, heat and AC, WiFi, three TVs, and keyless entry. You’ll fall asleep to the forest through the windows, which is the point.

♥ WHO IT’S FOR
Two couples, a double date, or a family with older kids who want two private bedrooms and two baths. Multigenerational and group trips work well here, especially paired with the neighboring tents. It’s quiet by design, so it’s a getaway, not a party house.
🚗 GETTING HERE
From parking, it’s trail-like steps up to the main deck, about 25, with a few more down to the fire pit. Part of the elevated deck doesn’t have railings, so keep an eye on little ones and watch your footing after dark. Five minutes from downtown Bryson City, right by the Deep Creek entrance to the Smokies.
➳ GOOD TO KNOW
It’s a canvas safari tent, so you’ll hear the rain, the birds, and a bit more of the outdoors than a cabin. Two more double-suite tents, Foxfire and Swallowtail, are within walking distance; book all three for a bigger group, and know that when they’re occupied you’ll hear some of your neighbours, since canvas isn’t soundproof. This is bear country, so store food and trash securely. About 25 steps to the deck. Glamping, not roughing it, but the canvas and the steps are real and worth picturing before you book.
