🚗 GETTING HERE
No 4WD and no white-knuckle climb, and the main deck and hot tub are step-free. The driveway is tight, so larger vehicles should use the upper drive to turn around. Five minutes from downtown Bryson City, right by the Deep Creek entrance to the Smokies.

➳ GOOD TO KNOW
Hidden Falls, our one-bedroom yurt, sits just behind Spicewood. Guests rarely notice it, but if you’re traveling as a bigger group or two families, book both for two private units side by side.

Please take note: We require a $500 separate "security hold" to be held 2 days before arrival and released 3 days after you check out. This helps us virtually eliminate unwanted pets and partiers and helps insure our housekeepers have time to properly clean and prepare for your arrival.

Three waterfalls, Juney Whank, Tom Branch, and Indian Creek, on an easy 2.4-mile loop. In warmer months, rent a tube and float the creek. Horseback riding runs through the forest.

Scenic rides from town, plus seasonal runs like the Polar Express and the Moonshine Train.

🎣 Fly fishing and tubing
Bryson City is the Fly Fishing Capital of the South. Try the Tuckasegee River, or spend the day tubing clear water.

It was super clean, comfortable, and just genuinely such a cool place to stay. The huge porch was one of my favorite parts — there was so much room to sit outside, relax, and enjoy how peaceful everything was. The location is perfect because it feels so serene and tucked away from everything, while somehow still being close enough to anything you actually need. It really gives you that middle-of-nowhere feeling without actually being in the middle of nowhere 😂 The grill was awesome and we definitely appreciated having it, and the hot tub was SO nice after being out exploring all day. There is just something about sitting in a hot tub surrounded by a quiet, peaceful setting that makes vacation that much better. We had never been to the Smokey Mountains before, but the minute I saw this yurt and its glowing reviews online, I knew we had to stay here. I'm happy to say, it did not disappoint. The property was absolutely beautiful, inside and out. Everything inside the home was super high quality, and we appreciated all the special touches, like the extra thick throw blankets in every room. As nice as the inside was, we spent most of our time outside, either eating, playing games, or relaxing on the porch or warming up by the fire pit. I'm usually the task master on vacation, making sure everyone is up in the morning so we can get out and "do things." However, at this place, I had no problem letting everyone else sleep in, because my absolute favorite part of this vacation was sitting on the front porch by myself in the morning with my coffee, reading a book, surrounded by trees, cool temps, and enjoying the ultimate tranquility.....sigh. The location of the property was also great. I couldn't believe how close we were to the Smokey Mountain park where we hiked and tubed 2 days in a row since it was so close, convenient, and affordable. The other activities we did during our stay (river rafting and horse back riding) were further, but only 20 minutes away. This place really was perfect, and I'm so glad we chose it for our stay. If we ever come back to the area, we definitely want to stay here again.

Such a charming and rustic place, nestled in the woods surrounded by nature. It was absolutely peaceful. Hot tub at night with the crickets and the stars was so relaxing. The yurt was extremely clean, the beds were so comfortable, and the wrap around deck was great for morning coffees. Host very responsive and accommodating. There’s so many places to hike and explore. Very close to a state park with waterfalls and trails. I definitely recommend taking a tube and floating down! Breathtaking scenery. 10/10 recommend this place and can’t wait to be back!
